The wells – GW Stewart 1, GW Stewart 2 and M Stewart 1 – had been successfully fractured and put on stream, with surface facilities in place to allow gas flows to be sold into a nearby Enbridge pipeline.
Petrel said initial gas production rates were encouraging, with individual well rates expected to gradually increase and stabilise as the recovery of injected frac fluid ceased.
