BHP revealed president of petroleum Cutt would leave the company as it also announced changes which will see the new head of its petroleum business become more closely focused on operations and no longer have direct oversight of functional and business administration.
Replacing Cutt will be Steve Pastor who will take on the newly created role of president operations, petroleum.
Pastor will have responsibility for the company's petroleum interests in the Gulf of Mexico, onshore US, Australia and Trinidad & Tobago, while also overseeing the company's ongoing petroleum exploration programme.
