The areas were assessed by Netherland Sewell & Associates, which found original gas in place (OGIP) of between a low case of 28.1 Tcf and a high case of 143 Tcf.
Dart International chief executive John McGoldrick said the assessment, covering 12 wholly owned UK licences in the East Midlands, the Midlands Valley, York, Cheshire and Wrexham/Chester, had revealed “substantial shale gas prospectivity.”
