The blast at a chemical warehouse of a logistics company in a port area has also “seriously damaged” the headquarters of the China’s Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC), according to a COOEC statement.
Its offices in the Tanggu, about one kilometre away from the site of the explosions, will remain shut until further notice as a result of the damage.
COOEC management has requested its staff to stay away from the office building.
