Austraian contractor Decmil has secured a contract worth an estimated A$150 million to support Shell's upstream activities in Queenaland.

Decmil said the new three-year framework agreement with Shell subsidiary QGC was for works in the Surat basin where Shell has a very large coalbed methane gas upstream business.

The work includes construction activities, logistics and maintenance services.

The contract includes options to extend for up to two years.

Chief executive Scott Criddle said: “This extension builds on the strong relationship we have with QGC and we are pleased to continue to support their upstream operations."
