The 10-year contract commenced this month at a dayrate of $519,000.
The rig is expected to start work for Shell at the Stones development in the Walker Ridge area of the US Gulf. It could not be immediately determined if the rig had arrived on site.
Stones - a development in some 9500 feet of water centred around a floating production, storage and offloading vessel - is due online later this year.
