The country will pump an estimated average of about 150,000 barrels per day of oil this year, 8% less than expected in last year's forecasts, according to updated estimates from the Danish Energy Agency.

The agency also cut the estimated oil-production figures for 2017, 2018 and 2019 by between 8% and 14%. In the two years after that, according to the agency, Denmark will become a net importer of oil before returning to net-exporter status from 2021 through 2032 due to higher output from the Maersk Oil-operated Dan field and new developments.
