'Design faults' on Songa rig BOPs

Songa Offshore has disclosed that a blowout preventer design fault was largely to blame for a pair of newbuild rigs being sidelined earlier this year as it filed a counter-claim against Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in an arbitration spat over delayed delivery of the units.
