Diamond said it had been informed by BP that the Great Australian Bight drilling campaign would not progress.
In 2013, BP entered into a three-year contract with Diamond at a dayrate of US$585,000 for the Moss CS60E design harsh environment rig, which was build by Hyundai Heavy Industries.
"BP has confirmed that its decision will not impact Diamond's rig contract. BP and Diamond are exploring alternative locations for the Ocean GreatWhite," said Diamond.
