US rig owner Diamond Offshore Drilling has teamed up with technology player Trelleborg to develop, manufacture and market a portion of its riser technology.
The pair will work together on Diamond’s Helical Buoyancy technology, which reduces riser drag and mitigates vibration, under the joint development agreement.
The pair are also to work together on further application engineering, data acquisition, testing and development of the technology for the offshore drilling market.
