The year-old drillship has been contracted to Reliance since December last year at a dayrate of $508,000.
According to Transocean’s latest fleet status report, released today, it will remain under contract to Reliance in the US Gulf through February 2013 before returning to India the following month.
However, a footnote to the report indicates Reliance can extend the drilling programme in the US Gulf for another six months.
