DNV GL’s floating wind-power concept for offshore water injection is ready for real-life testing after four years of studies concluded that the system is technically feasible and cheaper than traditional solutions.

The Wind-powered Water Injection concept, or Win Win for short, was conceived in 2013 and has since 2015 been the subject of two joint industry projects led by the Oslo-based consultancy with players including ExxonMobil, Eni (now Vaar Energi), Nexen, Equinor, VNG as well as technology providers PG Flow Solutions and ORE Catapult.
