Dockwise said the new vessel would be larger than its 73,000 tonne giant heavy transport vessel Blue Marlin and designed to meet the anticipated production and subsequent transportation of new oil and gas production equipment that is planned to come to the market from 2012.
The company said it planned to raise about $100 million through a fully committed rights issue to finance the vessel.
