Det Norske aims to tap Aker’s expertise in front-end engineering, brownfield modifications and subsea systems as well as Subsea 7’s capabilities in engineering, procurement and installation of subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines under the unique operator-supplier collaboration unveiled on Tuesday.
The Norwegian independent’s chief executive Karl Johnny Hersvik said this represents a new project execution model that will facilitate reuse and replication of technology and solutions for development of subsea fields in its portfolio.
