The 1.3 billion-reais ($374.6 million) terminal, known as TEPOR, covers an area of about 400,000 square metres in the north of Macae. It is designed to provide logistics support to exploration and production activities in the oil and gas sector.

Construction of the port terminal is expected to begin in 2017 and will generate over 1100 direct and indirect jobs, with operations scheduled to start in 2020.

The
