El Paso declares Gulf force majeure

Southern Natural Gas, a unit of US pipe giant El Paso, said it was investigating a reported leak in the area of its 18-inch West Delta 105 natural gas pipeline in the US Gulf, shutting in about 42 million cubic feet per day of gas beginning late today.
