Emas Chiyoda in bankruptcy filing

Emas Chiyoda Subsea (ECS) has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US as the embattled contractor seeks a financial restructuring.

The Singaporean contractor took the "difficult but important step" to address its finances with the filing at the Southern District of Texas Bankruptcy Court on Monday.
