Empire revealed on Friday that, after a competitive market process, fellow Australian company Enerdrill had been awarded the contract and will supply its Completion Rig-1 to carry out work at the well.
Enerdrill supplied the rig which originally drilled the Red Gully North-1 well as part of a deal signed last year to drill up to five wells for Empire last year.
