According to Armour, surface equipment inspection and checks are in their final stages, including the installation of a new hydraulic system to operate downhole pumping.
It added that work was expected to be completed by mid-August, with output to resume shortly after.
Armour acquired the Emu Apple field as part of the Kincora assets it purchased from Origin Energy last year. The field has been shut-in since 2014 when output averaged just 50 barrels of oil per day.
