The deal with state oil company YPF will involve a further investment of $165 million to "considerably optimise production of existing gas reserves", a statement from the Chilean company said.
"This new development allows us to continue with projected investments in Argentina and advance our 2025 strategic plan," chief executive Marcelo Tokman said.
That is, to "increase oil and gas production in the Magallanes region to give sustainability to the business over the long term."
