The Canadian player hopes to bring online twice as many Permian wells in 2017 as it brought online in 2016.
Encana is currently running three rigs in the play, spokesman Doug Hock told Upstream via email. The company's 2016 guidance calls for three or four rigs and drilling 75 to 85 horizontal net horizontal and 10 net vertical wells.
"We haven’t released specific guidance for 2017 at this point," Hock added.
