EnerJex said it had completed working over eight vertical wells in north-eastern Colorado that had previously contributed "minimal production".
In the 30 days after they were worked over, however, the wells increased EnerJex's gross Niobrara production to 350,000 cubic feet per day. The company was previously producing 80,000 cfd from the project.
The increase was done on the cheap, with all eight wells worked over for less $100,000 total.
