Italian player Eni confirmed to Upstream on Thursday that its pipeline was “sabotaged”, but gave no information on who was responsible. A spokeswoman for Eni, however, said production of 1000 barrels of oil equivalent per day was impacted as a result.
Days after the Tuesday attack on the gas pipeline owned by Agip - Eni's subsidiary in the country – a radical group, calling itself the Red Egbesu Water Lions, has surfaced and declared itself responsible.
