The major aims to produce first gas from its 30 trillion cubic foot Zohr discovery as soon as late 2017, and is already in talks with contractors about securing hardware and installation vessels for what will be a huge, multi-phase, multi-billion dollar subsea project.
Eni aims to pump first gas from Zohr in the third quarter of 2017 at a rate of 700 million cubic feet per day, according to Oil Ministry sources in Cairo.
