The pair had been in talks about a potential deal since at least mid-July, but London-listed EnQuest revealed on Thursday that no deal will be forthcoming.
“EnQuest and Delek have ultimately been unable to reach an agreement and those discussions have now terminated,” the independent said.
Shares in EnQuest dropped more than 4% by around 8:15am local time in London on Thursday.
