The company revealed Thursday it had cut the estimated full cycle gross project capital expenditure by a further $150 million.
The project was originally budgeted at about $3.2 billion but the latest capex reduction, in addition to previous savings amounting to $425 million, will bring the estimated cost of the project down to roughly $2.6 billion.
EnQuest attributed the decrease in project capex mainly to the progress on drilling and the execution of the subsea programme, with the subsea installation programme now complete.
