Ensco revealed in its February fleet status report the contract was awarded by repeat customer Chevron.
The Ensco 8504 is currently mobilising to Indonesia and is expected to begin operations in late March to early July on a day rate in the region of $270,000 per day.
Ensco said it would receive a lump sum fee of about $8 million for mobilisation, acceptance testing and rig load out to be amortised over the primary contract term.
