Ensco reported a net income of $175.3 million, or $0.74 per share, for the first three months of 2016. That compared to earnings of $324.7 million, or $1.38 per share, a year ago.

Revenues were $814 million in the 2016 quarter compared to $1.164 billion in the 2015 period. The drop was "primarily due to a decline in reported utilisation to 65%, from 86% in first quarter 2015", Ensco said.
