In the first of two "related transactions", EQT will acquire 42,600 net acres and current gas production of about 42 million cubic feet equivalent per day from Trans Energy and Republic Energy for a total of $513 million.
Those properties are located in West Virginia, across Marion, Wetzel and Marshall counties. As part of that deal, EQT will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Trans Energy's common stock for $3.58
