Africa-focused independent Erin Energy said its chief executive has resigned from the company, effective Wednesday.
The Houston-based company said Segun Omidele has resigned as chief executive and as a member of the Board. No reason was given for the move.
The resignation was accepted by the company's board of directors and Omidele's departure is expected "in the coming weeks".
In the meantime, Omidele will assist in "the orderly transition of his duties and responsibilities" to an interim chief executive, Erin said.
