EU 'guarantor' pledge for Ukraine gas

The European Union’s executive arm reportedly has agreed with Ukraine to act as guarantor for Russian gas supplies after talks to resolve the dispute had stalled on Moscow’s demand that Kiev guarantee payment for deliveries.
