Edinburgh-based energy advisors Wood Mackenzie said that the fall in oil prices was overshadowing all other factors in its study looking at all European countries outside the UK and Norway.
Wood Mackenzie upstream research manager for continental & Mediterranean Europe James Webb said that Brent’s plunge was expected to “make a direct impact on exploration and development budgets - with discretionary spending most at risk”.
