Ericsson, aged 74, was reported missing about two months ago after he headed out alone on a fishing trip and a major search-and-rescue operation was launched when his boat was found drifting unmanned outside Marstrand.
A police spokesman confirmed to Swedish publication Aftonbladet that the body recovered from the water was that of Ericsson, adding there was no suspicion of criminal activity as a cause of death.
