The explosion at a chemical warehouse of a logistics company at a port area also rattled the headquarters of the country’s top offshore engineering, procurement, construction and installation contractor China Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC), which is one kilometre away from the site of explosion.
Sources said the explosion only partially damaged the facade of the company building, but with the building was still intact.
