Cohen is currently vice president of public and government affairs for the US supermajor and spent more than 38 years with Exxon and the merged ExxonMobil but he will reach the company’s mandatory retirement age of 65 in January and will step down then.

He held a variety of legal and public affairs roles, including chief attorney for Refining, Environment and Health, senior counsel at the Exxon law department before its merger with Mobil and general counsel for Exxon Chemical Company.
