According to documents filed in Texas federal court earlier this week, US Virgin Islands Attorney General Claude Walker said he would withdraw a subpoena demanding information from the company for use in the probe. Meanwhile, ExxonMobil agreed to drop its lawsuit against Walker claiming the subpoena and investigation violate the company's rights.
The move comes days after Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healy and ExxonMobil submitted a joint filing in a similar case to postpone Healy's demand for information until the legal challenges conclude.
