Faroe Petroleum has lined up a semi-submersible rig to drill up to two wells off Norway, starting in mid-2017.
Rig owner Odfjell Drilling said the UK independent has chartered the Deepsea Bergen for one firm well plus one optional probe.
Odfjell said the contract will begin in direct continuation of the unit’s current charter, which is with Norwegian state-controlled player Statoil and which is until mid-July.
