US regulators gave a boost to natural gas producers in the Appalachian basin with the approval of a pair of pipelines to increase takeaway from the area.
The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Ferc) approved construction of the Atlantic Sunrise pipeline, which will carry up to 1.7 billion cubic feet of natural gas from north-east Pennsylvania into the East Coast of the US.
