The number of applicants for this year’s Awards in Pre-defined Areas (APA) round was lower than the 43 companies that applied in 2015 but still showed “significant interest” among players, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).
“It is very positive that so many companies still believe that more oil and gas can be discovered on the most mature parts of the shelf.
