The Oklahoma Corporation Commission, the state's oil and gas regulator, last week ordered 37 wells within a 725-mile area of interest to be shut-in over the following days.
On Monday, the commission said it had revised the number to 27 wells within an 1100-square-mile area.
Tim Baker, the director of the commission's Oil and Gas Division, told reporters on Monday that the revision reflected new data on a sub-fault fault that was revealed by the 3 September earthquake.
