The country's newly established Agency for Safety & Environment(Asea) has released initial findings on its investigation of the incident, saying it had identified five measures that will be applied to Gulf of Mexico platforms to guard against similar problems.
"The plan has two goals: mitigate the chief risks and reduce the probability of accidents and their consequences for people and the environment," the statement said.
