Revenue grew to $6.3 billion from $5.1 billion a year ago, in line with analysts’ expectations, Reuters reported.
In an announcement, Fluor said new awards for the first quarter were strong at $8.4 billion, up from $6.2 billion a year ago, including $3.9 billion in oil and gas industry awards.
These included work for TCO in Kazakhstan, two refining projects for Reliance Industries in India, refinery work for Pemex in Mexico and oil sands and offshore projects in Canada.
