The US diversified miner posted weaker revenues in its oil and gas wing in the period as it also booked a sizeable impairment, while it confirmed the sale of shale acreage in the US.
The embattled company brought an early end to charter for three Noble Drilling and Rowan drillships in the US Gulf earlier this year. The Noble drillships were the Noble Sam Croft and Noble Tom Madden, while the Rowan unit was the Rowan Relentless.
