"The world is a better place, it's a cleaner place, and also a cooler place if we can produce more gas and replace the growing demand for coal," Saetre said in a keynote address at the World Gas Conference in Paris on Wednesday.
"Unfortunately the view that gas is part of the solution is not recognised and shared by everyone. The hard truth is that despite the world's growing need for energy, and despite our efforts to produce oil and gas with low emissions, our industry is still perceived mostly as part of the problem, and is not seen as wanting to be part of the solution."
