Gazprom inks new CNPC gas pact

Russia’s Gazprom has signed a framework agreement with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) to provide gas supplies via a new western route as the Kremlin bolsters trade ties with Beijing amid Western sanctions over the Ukraine crisis.
