The state player has started flows from the new probe – the P-04 well - on the Badra oilfield, boosting overall output to 35,000 barrels per day.
The new well has brought around 10,000 bpd of new production, the operator said in a statement in Russian on Friday.
This means that production at the field in Wasit province has more than doubled since the start of the year.
