The New York-listed explorer said that the Tilo 1 well flowed at a production rate of around 1000 barrels per day of 14.2 degrees API oil on test with around 10% water cut using an electric submersible pump.

GeoPark chief executive James Park said that Tilo was the Santiago, Chile-based company’s six oilfield discovery at Llanos 34.

“The Llanos 34 block – particularly the Tigana and Tua oil fields – represents attractive low risk, low cost and high netback fields which provide an important and secure production base during periods of oil price volatility," he said.

The
