The New York-listed vessel owner, controlled by Seadrill boss John Fredriksen, has penned an initial five-year agreement to provide its newbuild FSRU Golar Igloo for the liquefied natural gas import project at Mina al Ahmadi.
The initial deal is worth $213 million inclusive of capital and operating costs but Golar is free to find short-term charters for the unit during the winter months.
