Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) on Monday ordered operator Eni to keep output from Goliat shut in until it has properly identified the cause of a power outage that hit the field on Friday – the latest in a series of power and gas-detection incidents since the field started production in March.
The shutdown came after Eni had rejected calls from its own employees to close the platform while sorting out the start-up problems.
