It was reported last week Chevron had suffered a mechanical problem with the propane refrigerant circuit on the first LNG train at Gorgon which halted production at the project.
On Wednesday, Chevron confirmed repair work on the circuit was ongoing, along with equipment inspection and assessment.
“Based on initial findings, the repair work is of a routine nature and all the necessary equipment and material is available on site,” Chevron said.
